Begun on site en plein air, this rail fence is done in oil and was
finished in the studio. I kept it intentionally loose as I like to
remember sitting there while the sun lit the back field
and all one could hear were the birds.
It is only 8 x 10 but when framed it looks like a place we all have been, or
at least long to be, if only in our imagination.
