I think autumn is the most inspirational season of all...perhaps because my color palate has always
had crimson, gold and greens in it. I just can't get enough of the turning leaves and
the crisp evenings so it is no wonder I have a spurt of energy and
creativity at this time of year.
This painting was a "play piece" in that I had no expectations and no
detailed plan...I just let it happen. Lots of juicy transparent acrylics (only 3 colors used) layered
upon each other and a final touch of graphite with a few stems in pen.
Can't you just taste the apple cider?
Gorgeous work, Cindy!
ReplyDeleteReally lovely, Cindy... the movement of the bright bits of yellow through the piece is very engaging.
ReplyDeleteThanks Ladies, I'm rolling in the transparents now!
ReplyDeleteThis piece is exquisite! It fairly shimmers!
