Paradise Found!

A little more interesting?
I know I could push it further...and who knows? maybe I will, on a new one tomorrow.
But for now, here is the improved version: a hotter pink, less emphasis on the background, a tad bit more vibration and interesting water...cool against the heat of the day.
These are some of my favorite colors and I might have to learn how to work them into every single piece I do...they make painting fun, and besides, look what happens when they get close together!  I know these colors were not in the photo, or even the "real" scene.  But this is approaching the depiction of how one feels not what one sees.

Here's a detail - your eye, based on experience and imagination can fill in the parts I left out.  My eye (or my hand) put in the parts I wanted to share: hot orange sun and cool blues of water....
OK.  Now I am ready to push the next one even farther down the road from reality!  Stay tuned.

  8. Hi Cindy,
It takes a special artist to know HOW to use color effectively which you certainly have done. The combinations of cools and warms gives a lot of life to the subject matter. Well done!!
