My Pear Wall(s)

I just don't trust an artist that isn't a collector.  Even a starving artist will find a way to beg, borrow, barter or steal art that they must have.  And collections come in all styles: by artist, by media, by subject, by value and so on.  I want to share one of my favorite personal collections of art: my pear wall.

I love pears: the shapes, the colors, the taste, and their infinite value as a still life subject.  All artists have painted pears at one time or another.  Somedays I even admit that I am shaped much like a pear!

If only my skin were this flawless!!  I digress.  Anyway, my pear collection is as much about my friends and the variety they bring to my life as it is about art.  Each piece is precious for its own reasons.  I will share just a few here but keep in mind that I also have pears handmade in glass (oooohhhh) and pottery (ahhhhh) and brass (clink).  Each piece brings to mind someone in my world that has added color and excitment to it.
