The Messenger
This is a young messenger, commissioned by a collector for her friend named, appropriately, Robin. Listening to these messengers of spring early in the morning is a wonderful way to wake up. We've had our windows open so I can hear them and all their feathered friends chatting about what is to come. Sadly they also announce the onslaught of pollen so windows may have to close soon. Anyway, this is a little wonky photo cause I shot it while the 7 x 5 piece on board was drying from its final coat of varnish. It's done in graphite with mixed media. I'll do better with the photography next time, I just couldn't resist sharing.
The Messenger is beautiful. Your art is great. I did check out the links you sent me before. I love your watercolour paintings.
ReplyDeleteThanks, your gardens inspire me to more...hope to get to your "bugs" soon!
