You may have seen this composition before, I have painted it several times in different media and various sizes. I think I return to it in an attempt to really capture the wonderful time we were having canoing the New River in western NC. The river flows north and is, purportedly, one of the oldest rivers in the world. It is also a vast section of very un-developed land with farms, woods, rocks and wildlife lining the banks. I'm certain I will be painting it again...and again.
This particular piece is done in pastel on a golden-yellow paper and is 14" x 11". Today I am framing it, without a mat, under glass and delivering it to the gallery. If you are interested in purchasing it call Moonstar Gallery at 828-963-6600 or click here to visit the gallery
