A very generous gift to a worthy charity is the ultimate, "Pay It Forward"!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4087871473757812623.post-16072562004706304352015-10-05T11:24:56.273-04:002015-10-05T11:24:56.273-04:00Ah, so many paintings, so little time (and room). ...Ah, so many paintings, so little time (and room). When we had our interiors painted a few years ago the painter said he'd replace the picture hooks from where he took down pictures. I said "no, I want to start anew." So when it was time to rehang them, some of them didn't make the cut and were replaced by different art. My first offer was to our daughter who had already selected all my best stuff as well as the artwork I paid a fortune to frame. Then I made a stack in my guest room closet. That's my donation stack of art that we've purchased and my art that I've enjoyed but must say goodbye to. I tack a suggested value on pieces that I donate and/or information about the artist if it's not my work, as a guide for bidding/selling. The charity that the fundraiser supports makes the money and that's my reward. kayeohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16082755575310471241noreply@blogger.com
